The finished tool is black oxide coated, with the tip diamond ground for instant use. Shanks are made of special heat treated alloy steel and held to .000 – .0005' from the nominal size.
All minimum bore sizes come in three lengths:
SHORT – counter boring & short hole boring.
MEDIUM – for general boring.
LONG – for those extra depth holes where generally the tool room has to make up special tooling.
C-2 GRADE – For cast iron and non-ferrous materials.
