DETEX® Value Series® Delayed Egress RIM Exit Device is designed for primary and secondary exits that require an alarmed panic device with a 15-second delay. Has 100 decibel alarm that will sound when someone attempts to exit. This 15-second delay allows security management to respond before someone exits and the alarm deters the exit from occurring. Alarm is trigged by latch bolt movement. Features armed and disarmed field selectable status indicator. Back plate and plastic strike locater provide paperless template for perfect alignment with door and frame. Has stainless steel 3/4" deadlocking Pullman-type latch bolt. This device fits most doors and is easy to install. It's powered by a 24VDC filtered and regulated power supply. Helps control traffic, deters unauthorized exits, and provides security. Accommodates all types of mortise cylinders with standard Yale cam. 9V battery provides alarm function only in case of power failure. Flexible 3" conduit kit mounts to device end cap. Power supply included. ADA complaint. Note: This device must be provided with a fire alarm input, providing a system override during a fire emergency.
